Hackers and developers are hard at work right now, working on clean apps that have the potential to scale up our efforts to reduce carbon emissions and global warming. The apps use the power of technology, social media and easy usability to tackle resource constraints.
The competition began Saturday morning (May 5) and continues over a 30 hour period. Hacking ends at 2:30 pm today EST and will be followed by presentations by the teams, judging and awards at 3 pm. You can watch the proceedings live here through ustream. The live feed from will be on periodically throughout the rest of the weekend as well.

Greenstart, the startup accelerator for Digital Cleantech companies, today showcased the five startups from its latest cohort.
The five startups span sectors ranging from smart grid to collaborative transportation to energy data apps. They announced new products, new strategic partnerships, and gave live demos of their technologies during 10-minute pitches in front of an audience of 200 silicon valley investors.
